Hello everyone!
In Passo's case, it's 100 % RL events as well. I received an E-Mail from her a few days ago.

Her father has Alzheimer's disease, and she takes care of him and her mother (along with some help of 2 professional carers) 24/7. In her own words: Physically, he's fine, but his mind is gone. Fortunately, her mother is still doing fine. Passo is likely not to return in the near future, since she told me she hardly finds the time to go online at all, but all things considered, she's doing well.

In my case, what keeps me away is 100 % RL as well, but I try to come here whenever I find a little time to. Even if I don't post much these days....

Prayers going out to Passo and her family ...

HUGS, Myra!! You are just so sweet. :)))))))))

FYI In case not everyone goes on Facebook, Vispera (Jess) is expecting her first baby ... so happy for her and her hubby. :))))))

As well, for those who remember Aldalindel and Wiki from the old Fandom Ringbearer days (where they met! lol), they now have a little boy, Nate. :)))))))))

Thanks for updates, locks :) !

I do remember Jess - very happy to hear about the baby and wish her and hubby well! Sadly, I don't remember Aldalindel and Wiki, but it's always cool to hear that people have met here. I'm also glad to know about their son, Nate :)!

I am sorry to hear about Passo's mom and dad.
It is heartbreaking to sometimes to be taking care of infirm parents.
I hope she has a good support network.

Patty- we miss you here. Do post with us when you can, dear. :)

We've had a few couples who have met through Ringbearer and ended up married. It is wonderful to follow their relationships.

@ Shireling- I just want to say that you are so uplifting and it is always a joy to read your posts. :)
You remind me that I need take the time to think of others and uplift them whenever and wherever I can.
I am always delighted by your remarks to me and I know I've fallen short in returning the kindness to you. I will try to get better at it.

Anyone remembers Passo's birthday date? I'm hopeless in these things... I know she's due some time in February...

Paddy, I just saw your message/thread here. Passo's father passed away on Feb. 15, I believe, and her birthday is Feb. 25. He was ill and had to be hospitalized, then caught pneumonia and passed away several days later. She's had a sad time but is coping - you know Passo!

Hi Vaire- thank you for the news. If you happen to be in touch again with Passo, please let her know that we are all thinking of her. So sorry to hear the news of her dad's passing. :(

I didn't know her father passed away, last time I talked to her she said he's still coping. Oh my... that reminds me of my dad, he passed away the night before my birthday. Poor Passo! :(

I didn't know that, Padfoot, I'm sorry :(. My mother died two days after my 37th birthday, like she was trying to miss it.

My Dad died a week after my 36th! He'd just been given a clean bill of health though so his heart attack struck out of the blue - no one, including him, was expecting it. I used to work in a lawyers' office and noticed that we would be opening quite a few estate files in January, after the holiday season. It was like people would hang on until after Christmas.

It's tough to lose a parent, they've been with you your entire life.
Sorry for all of us here. ;)

My dad died of a massive heart attack when I was 25.
He'd had a small one which had put him in hospital. I was there with him when the big one hit. Stood outside the room while they worked on him, saw when they gave it up.

My mom died when I was 33. Felt like an orphan at this point- my eldest child was 2-1/2 years old at the time.
