

Homemade Maple Bars
I used Pillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuit dough, 8 count. The biscuits are what we call biscuits in the USA, I do not know what those would be called elsewhere. Maybe scones but without the sugar and fruit.

Anywho, the buttermilk taste is very light but gives just enough contrast to the sweet maple icing.
I get annoyed when going to a local doughnut shop and there are no maple bars available. Those things are very tasty and very much in demand so they do not stay on the shelves for very long. Figured why not try something at home.
