The Most Metal Deaths In Middle-earth

Here is an interesting take on the demise of some character in JRRT's world.

That does it - I am reading the Silmarillion if it kills me. Points that grabbed my interest:

12.) Túrin Turambar (a sentient black sword! And all these years I never knew.)

10.) Elendil and Gil-galad (and the 'more metal death of Kili'.)

8.) Lúthien (!) ...I had absolutely no idea she was so metal.

6.) Ungoliant

4.) Glorfindel (now I know why Locksley was so annoyed when he didn't make the cut)

3.) Gandalf the Grey (that last line )

2.) Fëanor (again, knew nothing beyond LOTR.)

1.) Fingolfin (badass incarnate)

Thank you! Thank you! and I thank you, Tom!

You are welcome, shireling, and we know where you can get The Silmarillion at quite a bargain. ;)

The first couple of times I read The Silmarillion was not very fun. But a few reads later, after a bunch of other Middle-earth related stuff was read it became very interesting (as Sgt. Schultz would say). :)
I still need a notebook handy to keep the names straight. I always confuse what race the characters are and which sub-category each one is in for their particular race. :2confused: :)

Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth, however, still remains a chore.
