The 3D was okay for 'The Hobbit' - and nobody was more surprised than me

. And we saw 'STARTREK: Into Darkness' last Friday (the Honey wanted 3D, so that's what we did.)
It's a lot - a lot more intense than 'An Unexpected Journey'. Stuff flying out at your face, loud noises accompanied by stuff flying out at your face,

- mass hysteria! It was good, I loved it. Plenty of nods to the original series, Benedict Cumberbatch, terrific characters, Benedict Cumberbatch, nifty effects, Benedict Cumberbatch...did I mention Benedict Cumberbatch?

"He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God." - Aeschylus
