Sucker Punch

Postby Shuggy » Fri Aug 06, 2010 10:04 am

OK - the film poster and teaser trailer generate an instant WTF?! on first (and subsequent) viewings. WWI battles, giant mech robots, huge Japanese Samurai warriors, dragons, and hot schoolgirl-ish women hacking and machine-gunning all and sundry to pieces; what's going on?

Directed by Zack Snyder ('Dawn of the Dead' remake, '300', and 'Watchmen') this is definately one suprise you won't see coming.

I can't wait to see it. It looks like my kind of movie.

I must concur in all particulars. :D

From what I read on Wikipedia, it sounds like all the fantastical stuff is sorta-maybe in the protagonist's head. It's like...a manga version of Inception. :D

It definitely had an anime feel to it and was an interesting watch, really liked the soundtrack, but One viewing was enough. Will say that it had a nice, twisted ending that even I didn't see coming.
