Spartacus TV Show?

Postby Halasian » Mon Aug 23, 2010 12:28 am

I caught a bit of Spartacus on TV last week & it had me curious. It was the first show of a series, & though it was somewhat cheesy-ish and the acting was average, it was a bit interesting. I'll have to give the next episode a watch to see if this is something worth spending time on. I think it was produced by Starz.

I saw it advertised on Sky actually; "Blood and Sand!" was the tagline.

I thought visually it borrows heavily from the style of '300', and as much as I enjoyed that film, it wasn't enough to make me excited about 'Spartacus'; it looked like it was trying too hard.

Oh, and *SPOILERS FOLLOW*

He dies in the end.

I saw it when it originally came out, and watched the entire series. I enjoyed it. They aren't sure if there will be a second season, though. It's sort of in limbo.
