Outlander in April!!!!! :yay:

This should be very interesting, because Claire and Jamie are seeking to change the course of history...speaking of which, I can think of one other history I'd like to change :slowblush: .

Yes, I did :D ! The only thing wrong with it was that the Honey watched it with me, and it confused him. I didn't realize that this was actually another episode of the series - which was fine with me, I thought it was a great twist - but, he's saying, "Where are we? Who is that?" when the shift came out of Sherlock's mind palace.

I can't remember now how far behind you are :( - we need global programming, especially for stuff like this! April 9th is Outlander's season date here.

We have no air date yet for the Abominable Bride. That means I'm going to buy the DVD. Won't wait another couple of months...

:paperbag: I'm sorry! I thought you'd seen it, and were asking me if I had! Well, shame on me for assuming. But I did enjoy it, and I think you will too.

Have you ever wondered how long you'd last if you were suddenly swept into the 16th Century, Paddy?

:paperbag: Probably not one week.

You know I often wonder how all those people who attend those popular medieval events would last if they were thrown into "the real thing". It's one thing to play, as long as you go home to your comfortable home in the evening. But I bet most of them would not last one week if it were for real.

Yeah, I've thought of re-enactors too . Frankly, I wouldn't last the day - unless I'm found by some titled gent who fancies common, plump, middle-aged women with astigmatism, short hair, and who would rather wear breeches than a dress ( Oh, I can hear him now, "Zounds! Thou art a hearty wench!")

But, what would really do me in, is the first time I had to take a crap in the woods :paperbag: .

Oh! Broch Tuarach was brought up in the 1st episode. The Laird of Broch Tuarach is a relation of Jamie's, and both he and Claire are seeking him as an ally, but enough of that.

In Galaxy Quest, there's the Mak'tar chant of strength? that one of the aliens and 'Dr. Lazarus' engage in, as they try to save the suffocating crewmembers? and I swear they're repeating "Broch Tuarach!" Can't find a clip to back me up, but I'm sure that's what's being said!

...well, I was wrong - again  . It turns out the Mak'tar Chant of Strength is "Larak Tarath." *sigh* Would have been cool, though. Darn. By Grabthar's Hammer, what a bummer :/ .

First 2 episodes look very promising. The French King and his royal household might have been portrayed a little exaggerated, but from what I learned, not too much. I understand Murtaugh's frustration with the French
