Re: Doctor Who
It's a pity Ecclestone only stayed Doctor for one season, I would have liked him to do at least one more. But now it's Tennant coming up, and I'm looking forward to him as well.

Re: Doctor Who
Tennant was very good too. And I think he had the best companions since Sarah Jane Smith - may she rest in peace. The chemistry was excellent between him and those three women during his 'tenure'
.

Re: Doctor Who
Just watched Tennant's first episode (The Christmas Invasion) and I'm already hooked.
He radiates energy, and one can hardly resist him

Re: Doctor Who
This is Riley. She just saw David Tennant regenerate into Matt Smith; it was 2013, she was nine-years-old, and she was not happy

Re: Doctor Who
I did the exact same thing when Tom Baker left. He was the Doctor for 7 years, and I still wasn't done with him! I had to go to work that night, and every chance I got to go off and shed a tear, I did. I was in my twenties - I'm embarrassed to admit it now - but there are some regenerations that mean more than some others.

Re: Doctor Who
I completely understand Riley! I was sad Ecclestone left, but I'll probably be in pieces over Tennant, because he's just fantastic (and I'm saying that after 2 episodes
).

Re: Doctor Who
All I can say is that I'm glad these shows are recorded for prosperity. Can you imagine if these episodes were plays, and you had to show up every week to see them
?

Re: Doctor Who
Oh my!
By now, I'm really hooked. Freema Agyeman took over from Billie Piper, and Catherine Tate was just hilarious as Donna. I am glued to the TV every Tuesday evening

Re: Doctor Who
It's interesting how they managed to give Rose her very own Doctor, isn't it? I love Donna & Martha - they're sharp, witty, not simply there to ask the Doctor questions that we can't.

Re: Doctor Who
It looks as though Peter Capaldi's leaving, from the last time he was seen on the Who Season Finale...

Re: Doctor Who
Yes, I heard about it. There's also a discussion going on whether the next doctor could/should be a woman.
Why not?

Re: Doctor Who
I would love Idris Elba to be the Doctor. He's the regeneration; he looks in the mirror and whines, "Still not ginger!"
