I keep missing shows, like "White Chapel" (and now I'm missing "Copper") because they're always on a day that conflicts with my husband's sports. I also would have liked to have seen "Luther." And - difference genre, but same problem - it doesn't look like SyFy is picking up "Doctor Who" any more, so I've got to get the livingroom set on Saturday nights.

No Dr. Who over here, too. I've seen a few episodes starring David Tennant as the Doctor, but that's all. Torchwood, however, was aired completely.

I liked "Luther", it was quite good and I hope there will be more. "Copper" however only aired on Pay-TV.

We have two sets, but only the livingroom has the cablebox. My little one in the bedroom just has the wire coming out of the wall. I wish we could afford a second box. If we could just buy it, but there's monthly fees and they have gone up without any explanation that makes sense (of course . )

Also, we're still using VHS tapes because the VCRs still work. We have them marked Monday thru Sunday, and I set up the BR machine to record shows for us using all eight allotted slots.

I can do that on the bedroom set quite easily because it doesn't have the cablebox, and I don't have to mess with the wiring (which is what I would have to do in the LR.) I tape in there and we watch them in the livingroom - which equalizes the wear and tear on the machines - but not the tapes. Once they're gone, they're gone :(...

And then we figure out a new strategy that doesn't make us any more broke :D.

Is this a new season? I used to love the version with Jeremy Brett.

It's the one from 2010/2011 with Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch. I hope for season 3 next year.

All Creatures Great And Small
'Allo 'Allo
As Time goes By
Blake's 7
Happy Ever After

Neighbours is an Aussie soap. Is that what you had in mind? Space 1999 was a UK effort if memory serves. It's well cheesy now but I used to love it.
