Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies

Postby TomCotton » Mon Dec 09, 2013 7:44 pm

Hallmark Channel subjects us to saccharin sweet movies each holiday season. Most of them are the same story, just different characters. One of the current playing movies is about a man that wants to build a ferris wheel for his dying wife. Andy Garcia plays the man. It takes place in South Carolina so Garcia tries a southern accent. He actually sounds more like Forrest Gump. I kept expecting him to mention a box of chocolates.

They get their scripts from those same fine folk who bring us "Lifetime" movies :D .

The Bishop's Wife - with Cary Grant, Loretta Young, David Niven, Monty Woolley, and Elsa Lanchester - is on Hallmark this afternoon - now, that's redeeming :D .

Yep, that is a good movie. Cary Grant was a very good comedic actor.
