Cross-Overs: Examples of Literary Mergings...

Postby shireling » Wed Jul 27, 2011 1:58 pm

and resulting Chaos  ...or Cooperation :D!

I know this doesn't make for collaboration but I've got another idea.

Since I already did one, I'm going to set a challenge for Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Star Wars. Whoever takes this one on and writes it, will then set the next challenge. We can make it all Sci-Fi or Romance/Horror/Fantasy/Thriller (ala Jane Austin & Zombies), like Romeo & Voldemort, James Bond & Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones & Walter Bishop, Capt. Kirk & the Queen of Narnia, X-Files & Sesame Street...Well, maybe not that last one, but you get where I'm going. Any takers?

Mountain King, are you in or out?

I know Star Wars better than Buffy, but if we're going to set a challenge, what's the deadline? I can make the winner's icon...

Dang, I'm getting all excited here!

Okay, I've had an idea that might work for a Buffy/Star Wars crossover.

Buffy and friends go to Giles's house for a DVD night/Star Wars marathon. Buffy has a boyfriend and is tired from vampire slaying and whatnot, and drifts off to sleep in boyfriend's arms. Then she dreams about being in the Star Wars universe. Think Family Guy's Blue Harvest, but with Buffy characters. Does this suck?

Well if you don't want to do that there is one idea, Buffy related, that I've wanted to do for awhile, but just never had the nerve.

Buffy meets Count Duckula...

welcome to nightmares

I had hoped to collaborate on this, but, left to my own devices, I came up with Spaced Out.

It's the only way I could think of to get it to work.

Well I don't like to pull my punches with a review... so if you don't know a show backwards don't write for it. There are lots of little bits a Nerd like me just has to wince at. The reason I fired of my link was that a lot, and I do mean a lot, of people have tried a Buffy Star Wars Crossover. I though it would inspire a few ideas.
Having Buffy sucked into a Star Wars dream world via a spell to weaken her was an inspired idea. Mostly it's just some big glowing hole that gets the two universes together. So it's original I'll give you that. I just don't know what else there is to say about it.

So how about we move on. Sticking with Star Wars but not Buffy. Something that fits a short story a lot more. How about The Empire vs the Daleks

I had no idea . I really thought I'd come up with something original there with Buffy. Yeah, Star Wars vs Daleks sounds great to me!
