This is because the gene that regulates anti-freeze production was taken from the Arctic Flounder fish and introduced to the plant. (and) The Arctic flounder is a right-eyed flatfish. Its upper side is dark olive green to dark brown in colour, sometimes with black spots or dark patches; its underside is white. Its fins are pale brown, sometimes with a yellow tinge or faint dark spots. - wiki


This is a really pretty shade of blue...and I was so disappointed that the fish isn't that color :( .
