Terry Pratchett has died today. I hope, the discworld welcomes him!

That's too bad. I never read any of those Discworld books but I do have a paper model book of the Unseen University gathering dust waiting to get cut up and assembled. Pratchett was only 66 years old. :(

I've got a few of the Discworld books. Pratchett's cheeky wordplay makes me laugh out loud. There's a scene in Mort where our hero goes to a district of Ankh-Morpork called The Shades, the dodgy part of town. Unsurprisingly he is set upon by a trio of thugs, two of whom stand by the ringleader for immoral support. While Mort himself is a skinny pizza-faced teenage boy, he is also Death's apprentice. Only Terry Pratchett could write what happens next.

Pratchett was a magician with words, his literary sleight-of-hand was as amazing to read as a decent stage magician is to watch.
To err is but human, to forgive divine, and to design is AWESOME! :8
