I just finished a program of study for kids ages about ten to fourteen; it's from a faith-based series (Baha'i) called Ruhi, and the fifth book is called Releasing the Powers of Junior Youth. One of the sentences that stood out to me, was ants have existed on earth for millions of years.

It's one thing to know that from the science education I received, but to actually find it repeated and upheld in the religious study literature of any faith, is totally, totally sweet :) .

Science Denial Is Bipartisan...Conservatives exhibit more anti-science bias, but liberals are not off the hook.

My husband and kid were fully-immunized, and are on the autism-spectrum. The rest of my family is also fully-immunized, but aren't. We don't know what caused the autism, but we're pretty sure what didn't...
