Sting's The Last Ship...O my God, Creator of Heaven and Earth! I love this so much!

It's stored in my DVR as a Great Performance, and I'd love to leave a snippet, but I can't find an individual song to post - and if I could, it would be the opening number to this musical (which it will be eventually; it'll be positively grand when it's finished.) It just brings tears to my eyes, makes me think of my grandpas, but it also makes me laugh. It's fantastic!

EDIT: I FOUND MY FAVORITE!

Heard this the other day and did some checking. Turns out it is the same group that had the song in a Heineken add a few years ago called "Love Letter".
This song is much mellower.
Clairy Browne & The Bangin' Rackettes "Walk Of Shame"

Not usually my cup of tea, but as stated very mellow sounding. I usually do not pay much attention to the actual lyrics, just how the words sound with the music. :D

the soften part is where the flute players begin to die off one by one...

those that make it to the end of the song go on to reproduce, ensuring the next generation of flute players is stronger; this is known as Survival of the Flutist.

...A Playlist for Newborns...

http://www.npr.org/sections/allsongs/20 ... r-newborns

As somebody who worked in a newborn nursery, this is list is a very pleasant change from what those little ones were bombarded with in late 70's...there are a couple that I question, a few others that I think would be better, but most are an improvement, trust me.

Not necessarily a discovery, more like a re-discovery:
