Soldier of Fortune

Postby Halasian » Wed Jun 20, 2012 12:39 pm

One of the bands that I heard a lot of in my youth was Deep Purple.
I thought this Lord of the Rings edited clip was quite good!

It's blocked, Hal :(. Copyright thing; you can play the song elsewhere on Youtube - just not the one you mentioned and I want to see  .

I'm sorry.. I think it was made in Bulgaria. It plays ok here in Oz.
I run into a lot of geo-blocked stuff from the USA, which sux.

Edit: Yeah, you got it. If it's a cover, its darn close to Deep Purple

And it has a bit of a different feel to it when sung by Candice Night, Ritchie Blackmore's wife...
Here they are together.... Blackmore's Night:

Is that Ian Gillan? I loved his Jesus on ...Superstar, spoiled me for everybody else. His interpretation of Gethsemane is still the one I hear in my head.

Beautifully-edited piece :) .

So, you were able to see the clip in the first post? I read somewhere that if the url is posted it will see where the person clicking it is and block accordingly, but if the link is attached to a site with a video link, then it sees the site location, which may let it work.

Yeah, I just clicked on it, and it played for me - all those lovely clips of Arwen and Aragorn, all strung together, but not the very first time I tried. I'm listening to Blackmore's Night version right now...
