I am going to hold off on the other requests in this thread for the moment, because I want to get the banner in first. On this theme, the banner section isn't very large, so that might push things around a bit. Once the banner is we can see where everything else is.

I tried to send a PM to someone...i hadn't decided who yet, but because there's someone spamming up the old board...but I discovered that I can't send PMs because I cannot select a recipient. It doesn't tell me that I'm not allowed to, it just doesn't have an option to select one. it says recipient: none
weird?

and since i'm here,I'll just say, I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but there's someone called hunter24 on the old board that's spamming old threads with advertisements for golf clubs, as well as starting random new thread about golf clubs...is there a way to ban the IP and delete all the posts/threads at once?

The end.

Ok, I'm not sure what screen you are on because mine doesn't say "recipient" anywhere, it says "To". How are you getting to that screen? If you are going to the UCP and clicking on "Compose Message" it does say "none" until you put people's name(s) into the box to the left and click on "add" below. It took me several minutes to work that out ;)

You have to enter the name in the box under Usernames: then click the Add[To] button. The name will then appear on the To: line instead of None.
If you click the [Find a member] link under that box the list of names currently registered on the site will show up. You can then choose a name then click on the PM button in the Contact box on the page that opens to send that person a Private Message.

Alternately you can find a post someone has made that you want to send a private message to and click on the PM button at the bottom of their response window. The private message page will open and you can compose and send the message.
Privately, of course. :)

Am I the only one that images on the site aren't displaying for?
For a while now none of the site images have been showing. No banner, no little 'new topic' icon, nothing anywhere. Only avatars are showing up and sig images.
Is this a problem on my end or is this happening for everyone?

EDIT:
Hrm, so I just tried to view this board in IE (I usually use Firefox) and it seems to be working fine. Everything is displaying. Is it happening for other Firefox users?
"The world of books is the most remarkable creation of man. Nothing else that he builds ever lasts. Monuments fall, nations perish, civilizations grow old and die out, and after an era of darkness new races build others. But in the world of books are volumes that have seen this happen again and again and yet live on, still young, still as fresh as the day they were written, still telling men's hearts of the hearts of men centuries dead."

I use Foxfire and it's working fine for all that.

Attachments don't seem to be working. I started a topic in the Food section on the other board about kitchen gadgets and had attached three photos of the gadgets. When the topic migrated to this board the files were missing or corrupted.

I deleted the files using the edit function and tried the attchment function to put the pictures back in the post but got this error message instead and no file attachment:
Could not upload attachment to ./files/58_bf29fff465aec5aed7783261c4c05177.
