copying what I said in the other thread:

I think the texture of the background makes it a little hard to read...is that just me? but otherwise I really like it. Makes it feel more homey and less...institutional.

maybe it's just this laptop, which has a tiny tiny screen? It's not too bad, im sure I'll live. :)

Renewed shall be blade that was broken; the crownless again shall be King."

This looks very nice! So "Dark Fantasy" is just the name of the set-up not our new site? Thank goodness. I've been reading all over the place to find out. I've been pondering a new name too but nothing has come up. I will miss "RB"! Someone in another thread said it would be funny to come up with a new name that still used "RB" and I agree but all I can think of is "Remember ?" and then what? What starts with B that would fit? Not Balrog, surely. Anyway, Cassie and Crew, you're doing a terrific job setting us up anew. I'm no help but I'll join the cheering section.

Hey everyone, sorry, work has been busy lately :?

Anyway, as to the theme, I agree it needs tweaks, and tweak it will get :D I think the post background needs lightening too lotr, it's not just you ;) And yes, the smilies are for a light background, but they will be changed too, so don't worry! Please continue to post suggestions on what you would like seeing changed about the theme/board in general :)

I also like Remember the Balrog

lol, I like Remember the Balrog, but that doesn't really get us out of the Tolkien box! Maybe that can be the battle cry or something for us who still remember the old RB once this new site gets its first generation of new inhabitants!

Have you already altered the theme, Cassie? It seems easier to read today (or maybe that's just me :P ).

On the whole, I like this theme very much!

I like Remember the Balrog, too, but I don't think we have to remove Tolkien completely if it turns out if most of us like the result:

Niamh, I haven't touched it, but now you mention it, it looks easier to read to me too  but I'm looking on my home pc now not my work one....

Hmm, Remember the Balrog also kinda works in that it sounds like we are remembering something from the past, which we are, the old RB....plus although it is mentioning something from Tolkien, it's not directly Tolkien like "Ringbearer" was, it's more....musing than anything else.

I like Remember the Balrog too, it's a nice reference to where we've come from (and also a humorous one, like a remembrance for the Wings/No Wings battle :P ).

Oh yes, that was a good one! I think that's one argument that is still echoing throughout the internet. :D

I think it's an argument doomed to echo through eternity! :P
