Re: Site Name
"Pandora's Box"? Not very original but it just occurred to me and I thought I'd toss it out there.

Re: Site Name
I like "Pandora's Box"

Reality backwater - I like that. I like that a lot.
Though Roaming Banter is possibly more accurate!

Re: Site Name
We have "Remember the Balrog" in the other thread
I rather like Reality Backwater too!

Re: Site Name
I'm rather falling in love with "Remember the Balrog"...LOTR is on TBS this weekend and you go through Gandalf's battle with the thing twice (TT was on last night). And then this morning, the episode of "Clean House" where Trish is talking the homeowner into putting his huge balrog action figure in the yard sale was on. I think I'm being wooed.

I have to agree that 'Remember the Balrog' is pretty awesome.

Re: Site Name
My thoughts on previous suggestions:
G-SITE - while fun, is imo too long when not abbreviated. But when it's abbreviated I immediately think "g-spot" instead. We will totally get porn bots if that abbreviation appears anywhere in the title or url.
Secondary Worlds - I like it, but for some reason it doesn't trip off the tongue very well..... and we wouldn't want it to sound anything like Second Life.
Reality Backwater - I like. Though it too doesn't flow well when said aloud.
Remember the Balrog - hehe. Too Tolkien, but funny.
What about: Corner of Unreality
Or... Reality is Boring ? :p

"The world of books is the most remarkable creation of man. Nothing else that he builds ever lasts. Monuments fall, nations perish, civilizations grow old and die out, and after an era of darkness new races build others. But in the world of books are volumes that have seen this happen again and again and yet live on, still young, still as fresh as the day they were written, still telling men's hearts of the hearts of men centuries dead."

That's alot like my joke suggestion of "Reality Bites" and sombody suggested changing to "Reality Bytes" instead, but that's just not right.

Realms Beyond?
Realities Beyond?
I'm definitely in the Balrog camp
but I think once we've got enough suggestions we can just do another poll and see what people prefer.

Re: Site Name
lol, if we call it "Beyond Realities" then all the newbies will think we're dyslexic when we refer to RB.

This is just my opinion, but I think both of those are quite good. They definitely fit the criteria you were talking about in an earlier post, here:
I think a few reasons why "Ringbearer" worked were that it was easy to remember, described obviously what the site was about, and could be abbreviated easily. We need something to follow those guidelines.

Re: Site Name
I like both...though I like the sound of "realms beyond" a little better.
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost.
The old that is strong does not whither; deep roots are not reached by the frost.
